A platform/run n jump/maze game where the object of the Q*bert game is to change the color of the top of the cubes to the Destination color indicated at the upper-left of the screen (below Player 1’s score) by hopping onto them. When all the cubes in the pyramid have been changed to the destination color, the screen will advance to the next Round, with the player-controlled Q*bert character starting back on the top cube. At the beginning of each Level, there will be a short demonstration cycle with Q*bert hopping around four cubes to explain to the player the play action of each Level. Each Level consists of four Rounds. The current Level number and Round number is displayed at the upper-right of the screen (below Player 2’s score in a 2-player game).
Note: Used a collision cheat. There’s a glitch in the game near the end caused by the cheat. The game has 9 levels and it is endless as once you beat level 9, it repeats level 9 endlessly.

Fun game. Whoever is playing is pretty bad
This game became my most favorite arcade game of the 80โs , it was sadly overlooked by other gamers.. but I assure you , it was challenging in its own way with having to complete the color sequence to the pyramid, the higher the level .. the more color sequences you had to do . Oh , avoiding the bad guys ( colley , uugh and wrong way ) And the ever annoying but cute ( slick and Sam ) they would change the colors back โฆ.you also had the fun green freeze ball , which froze the board while you could still hop around the pyramidโฆ. Oh , there were the red balls which fell and would kill you
Just read the book from the creator; apparently Levels 6-9 are all the same.

I Mean How Much more Simple Can you get A little Orange Dude Named Q*bert Jumping on Squares to Change the Color, While Staying on A Pyramid, and Avoiding Objects and Creatures That Aren't Green. And use a Spinning Disk to Lure a Snake to his Death, Then it Gives you your point value. Of course you gotta love how he swears. Well There is Pong, And Although it was the first, that's just Computerized Ping Pong.
The winning noise is a little creepy.

So much unnecessary death for poor Q*Bert! About 90% of his deaths seemed easily avoidable by even a novice player. Nice to see all the levels, though.
